Steve O’ Malley
President, Maritz Travel

As division president of Maritz Travel, Steve O’Malley is passionate about the meetings and incentive travel industry and helping transform people and business through the event experience. He is an industry veteran and visionary with more than 25 years of experience in a variety of roles from onsite support as a travel director to leading nearly 1,000 associates in the day-to-day operation of one of the industry’s leading companies.

Steve is committed to advancing Maritz Travel, its employees and the industry. He is a champion of the company’s experience design thinking and Unleashing Human Potential initiative, which are both helping Maritz Travel differentiate itself in the market. Under his leadership, Maritz Travel has nearly doubled its book of business over the last three years. In 2016, the company operated nearly 4,500 programs and booked more than 1.2 million room nights.

Steve has extensive experience in a variety of areas including operations, sales and marketing, strategic planning, finance, talent management, and building and maintaining supplier and partner relationships.

In 2016, Steve joined the MPI Board of Directors to help drive the strategy for the future of the association. In addition to this role, Steve remains an active member of Site Global, GBTA and ICCA. Steve, along with his wife of 22 years and two sons, is heavily involved his local parish.
