MARITZ TRAVEL LEADERS PRESENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND STAKEHOLDER PERSPECTIVES AT MPI’S WORLD EDUCATION CONGRESS 2012

ST. LOUIS (July 25, 2012) – At the upcoming Meeting Professionals International’s (MPI) World Education Congress (WEC), three Maritz Travel leaders will present and moderate panel discussions on creating exceptional travel and meetings experiences by better understanding participants’ perspectives. Jim Ruszala, senior director of marketing forMaritz Travel; Greg Bogue, business event designer at Maritz Travel; and Neal Thompson, director of strategic technology for Maritz Travel, will share their expertise at the event taking place in St. Louis on July 28-31.

On Sunday, July 29, Ruszala and Bogue will speak and moderate panel discussions on “The ‘Melting Pot’ Perspective: Incorporating Values from a Wide Array of Stakeholders.” This session will share best practices for navigating the evolving meeting and events industry. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how stakeholders with unique perspectives can work together to create more complimentary objectives and measures.

On Monday, July 30, Thompson will present on the topic of “Using Mobile and Social Technologies to Engage ‘The Tethered Audience.’” His experience in implementing mobile and social projects for a variety of events will give attendees a better understanding of how to use technology to engage audience members and minimize distraction. Thompson will wrap up with a review of future mobile and social technologies likely to affect the events industry.
