What are you currently working on?

I am currently developing a comprehensive set of RFID capabilities for onsite measurement and analysis. This technology will enable us to better understand traffic patterns and do session scanning more effectively. In addition, I am assisting the marketing team with defining and building new technology products and market positioning around social networking, mobile, etc. As the director of strategic business technology, I am responsible for helping Maritz Travel’s clients utilize emerging and strategic technologies in their meetings and events.

What were you doing prior to joining Maritz?

Since joining Maritz in 1993, I’ve been responsible for designing and building many technological systems, including web registration products, online reporting, web services, wireless mobile technologies, and most recently, virtual event technologies.

Prior to Maritz, I held a research position at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. and participated in environmental measuring projects for governmental agencies both at the national and local level.
